A group of third-year students at Taylor High School literally jumped for joy recently after gaining their YDance young leader’s certificate.
Pictured left to right are Leah Brown, Erin Forsyth, Kayleigh Gallacher, Rebekka Newns, Shannon O’Donnell and Chloe Pratt.
The girl are currently taking part in the initiative to deliver a six-week dance course to local primary schools.
Last week Rebekka and Chloe attended Cleland Primary and taught pupils in P4-7 while Erin and Kayleigh attended Newarthill Primary where they taught P1-3.
And Leah and Shannon will be delivering to another primary school in the near future.
YDance is the national dance organisation for people in Scotland aged between three and 21. It works through key partnerships in education, culture, health and sport across three main areas - education, participation and talent.
