Bellshill man John Kennedy joined colleagues from fit out and refurbishment business Overbury to take part in the Edinburgh Kilt Walk in memory of his wife Shona.
The team raised £1,400 for Macmillan Cancer Support as they completed the 26-mile challenge to mark the first anniversary of Shona’s passing.
The couple were married for 35 years before she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2015.
John said: “Having never been much of a fitness enthusiast before, training for the Kilt Walk and fundraising for Macmillan has really helped me focus on this special anniversary.
“Macmillan provided my family with incredible support and I wanted to do something to say thank you for the services they provide to people like my wife.
“I’m thrilled my colleagues joined me for the walk, it certainly made it a day to remember for many reasons.”
