Drivers in Motherwell town centre will face disruption next month when West Hamilton Street will be closed for resurfacing.
The road will be shut between its junctions with Watson Street and Hamilton Road from 7pm on Friday, February 6, until 6am on Monday, February 9.
The work was originally due to take place last month, but was put on hold because of complaints at the timing because the closure coincided with one of the busiest shopping weekends in the run-up to Christmas.
During the closure diversions for traffic will be in place.
Traffic normally accessing West Hamilton Street from Hamilton Road will be rerouted via Hamilton Road, Muir Street, Hope Street, Menteith Road and West Hamilton Street,
Vehicles going in the opposite direction will be diverted along West Hamilton Street, Brandon Street, Airbles Road and Hamilton Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
