Thingummyjig is coming to Motherwell - and it will give people from across the area to show they have talent.

The show will be at Motherwell Civic Theatre complex on July 5.

It will feature some new Scottish talent along with stars from the original series of Thingummyjig including Alastair McDonald, Morag McKay, Cruithne, the fabulous John Carmichael Band and Special Guests.

The show would not be complete without the fabulous Thingummyjig Dancers who all come from the Louise Murray’s Monument Dance Centre in Stirling.

The show will be staged by Celia Hammond, the original Thingummyjig lead dancer and will be directed by Cliff Martin who directed the television show in the STV Studios in Cowcaddens, Glasgow.

As with the original Thingummyjig, the audience will be an integral part of the show with audience participation a key factor to the show’s success.

Everyone is encouraged to wear tartan and a competition for the best-dressed Scots couple will add to a fun filled night.

Locals are being urged to audition for a part in the show. The date and venue for Motherwell auditions will be announced soon.
