Ten workers from Tanz in Motherwell raised over £1,000 for the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation by taking art in the Spartans Race in Edinburgh. The firm decided to support the charity as managing director Jamie Barclay was touched by its work and wanted to do something to help.

Business development manager Sarah Barclay said: “We were expecting to do five kilometres, but they changed the course and we were shocked to learn we’d done over nine, but it was all in a good cause and we are happy to do anything we can to help Les.”

The Dreammaker Foundation is hosting Mission Impossible Car Day at the Watersports Centre in Strathclyde Park from 11.30am.

The day is for free to all the DreamMaker Families and anyone else that goes along can for a cost get a go in some fantastic supercars donated by Performance Portfolio including Porsche, Lambourghini and American Hot Rods.

After the cars you will be able to get a fun filled ride in speedboats on the loch.
