NL Leisure’s summer festival calendar kicked off at Dalziel High as over 300 people descended on the school campus for a packed day of free fun.
While an outdoor climbing wall gave local daredevils something to get their teeth into, a huge mix of other activities meant there was something for everyone.
From football to face-painting, the bouncy castle, inflatable golf range and giant sumo suits proved especially popular.
NL Leisure’s senior sports development officer Dougie Holmes said: “What a great day out. Despite the weather we had a record attendance and everyone seemed to have a good time which is ultimately what it’s all about.
“I would like to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers and staff who helped make this event happen and, of course, to everyone who came along.”
