Spud would like a home

THIS week’s pet in need of a home is adorable Spud.

The Jack Russell / Staffy cross is currently being looked after at the Scottish SPCA’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton after being found as a stray.

Carol Porter, assistant manager at the centre, said: “Spud, who is aged between five and eight, is a cracking little dog.

“He is a quiet, independent boy who likes the odd cuddle now and again. He walks well on his lead and is clean in his kennel, which suggests he may be house-trained.”

If you can give Spud a loving home, please call the Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline on 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 10am until 4pm.
