A BELLSHILL youngster accepts a jumbo-sized delivery on behalf of Glasgow’s Yorkhill Children’s Hospital while there to receive treatment.
Robbie Lynch (11) received a donated fibreglass sculpture of a baby elephant which will be used to help Yorkhill Children’s Foundation raise enough money to purchase a world class microscope.
Glasgow web hosting company Easyspace donated the elephant and Firpark School pupil Robbie, pictured with junior doctor Tom Sproat, said: “It’s a cute elephant and I really hope it helps Yorkhill raise a lot of money.”
The elephant will be auctioned off at the Foundation’s annual Yorkhill dinner today (Thursday), which is being hosted by television personality and Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris Hollins. Last year’s dinner raised £65,000.
