Rest in peace Caden

BRAVE . . . Caden.
BRAVE . . . Caden.

BRAVE Cleland boy Caden Beggan has sadly passed away following a four-week battle with meningococcal septicaemia.

The six-year-old was struck down with the infection last month and had been receiving round the clock care at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow.

A pupil of Ladywell Primary School, Caden attracted worldwide support thanks to a Facebook page set up by the family.

His parents, David and Angela, posted updates on his condition and urged his supporters to pray for his recovery.

Sadly, he passed away on Tuesday, four weeks to the day he was admitted to hospital.

A heartbreaking message on the social networking site, posted around 3.30pm, read: ‘Dear friends, Caden Riley Beggan, Born 29th September, 2006, Died 20th November, 2012... in Mummy and Daddy’s arms.

‘Thank you for all your support. Caden is alive forevermore...’.

The sad news will come as a crushing blow to a community who quickly rallied round the family.
