Programme celebrates first year

A PIONEERING school programme in North Lanarkshire where babies ‘teach’ schoolchildren good relationship and behavioural skills has celebrated its first year.

The Times & Speaker reported on the Roots of Empathy programme, the first of its kind in mainland Britain, last year.

The programme was introduced into Holytown Primary School and works with a parent bringing their baby into the classroom so that children can observe their loving relationship.
