North Lanarkshire Council is holding two '˜Housing Matters' events next month to help shape the delivery of future services.

They are taking place on Saturday, November 3, at Gartlea Community Centre in Airdrie and then a week later at Daisy Park Community Centre in Motherwell, both from 9.45am-2pm.

Some of the topics to be discussed include: sheltered housing review, tenant participation, repairs service, new build programme, environmental services, and plans for the future.

New council chief executive Des Murray will outline the wider vision for North Lanarkshire’s communities, and tenant participation manager Tracy Lennon, will detail opportunities for tenants to get involved with shaping housing services.

There will also be a panel session with local area housing managers and the chance to hear from North Lanarkshire Federation of Tenants’ and Residents’ Associations.

Ms Lennon said: “Our ‘Housing Matters’ sessions allow tenants and residents to talk with the people running and delivering housing services, to share their experiences, and provide an insight into how we’re planning for the future.

“We’re working hard to deliver first class housing services and will continue to build on the excellent participation work already in place to ensure tenants have a key role in service delivery.”
