Police are appealing for information after a boy of 16 was stabbed in Holytown.
The youth was treated in hospital but has since been released.
The attack happened in Sunnyside Terrace around 9am on Saturday, August 13.
A nearby resident said: “I heard screaming and looked out to see a boy sliding down the bonnet of a car.
“I didn’t see anyone else except a girl who arrived in the street, went over to him and then made a phone call.
“The police and ambulance arrived and they were here for some time. The area was taped off.”
A police spokesman said: “The boy was treated in hospital for several puncture wounds.
“No one has been arrested at this time. Inquiries are continuing and I would ask anyone with information to call the CID a Wishaw on 101.”
