Sense Scotland invited its patron Princess Anne to perform the official opening of the new TouchBase Lanarkshire.
The charity helps people with communication support needs arising from a range of disabilities including deafblindness, sensory impairments, learning disabilities and autism.
The centre in Hamilton has undergone a £850,000 refurbishment and boasts a wide array of new start-of-the-art facilities.
This includes a sensory room, music room, art room, a new activity wing with sunken trampoline, a dedicated event space, meeting rooms and offices.
The Princess Royal toured the new facility meeting with families and then joined Sense Scotland chairman Roy Cox to unveil a plaque.
