A large number parents and carers of P7 pupils who will make the step to Bellshill Academy in August attended the Academy’s P7 transition coffee morning last Wednesday.
The event, which was organised by depute headteacher John Johnston, proved to be a great success.
The parents and carers had the opportunity to hear presentations from the Academy’s school captains and S1 pupils on making the transition from primary to secondary.
They were also treated to tea and coffee prepared and served by 4XL students.
The S1 choir performed some Burns songs which they had prepared as part of a Burns celebrations and the morning ended with senior students conducting a tour of the school.
The feedback from parents and carers was excellent and the school plans to make this event an annual feature as part of its transition programme.
