Aldi is set to open its new Motherwell store at 8am on Thursday, June 20.

To celebrate the first 100 customers in the queue will receive a ‘golden ticket’ to win a prize, including TVs, DVD players, MP3 players and many more.

The new store on Mason Street will create up to 20 jobs and features 81 car parking spaces.

In addition to the opening day ‘golden ticket’ giveaway, Aldi also welcomes several of its Scottish suppliers to Motherwell next Friday and Saturday (June 21 and 22) with samples of products for customers to try.

Area manager Mario Opua said: “After seven months of preparation, we’re looking forward to welcoming customers into our new Aldi store in Motherwell.

“We look forward to opening the doors and showcasing the range of products Aldi has to offer, and with the ‘golden ticket’ and ‘Specialbuys’ expect plenty of people to join the celebrations.”
