OVER 400 women ‘hooped’ their way into the Guinness Book of Records at the sports facility in Ravenscraig at the weekend.
A total of 407 ladies participated in a Powerhoop class to make their way into the record books.
The event was part of a Handbags and Gymbags ladies day, which also featured a variety of stalls, beauty treatments and a champagne afternoon tea.
Jim Logue, chairman of North Lanarkshire Leisure, said: “The day went superbly well, everyone who took part seemed to be having a great time.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took part and the organisers for doing such a great job. I think this could become an annual event and go from strength to strength.”
