Illegal staff caught at restaurant for second time

STAFF working illegally at a Motherwell restaurant have been arrested.

The Hup Lee on Merry Street is also facing further fines after a UK Border Agency raid discovered that it was employing illegal workers for the second time in 18 months.

The Times reported on the latest operation last week which saw UK Border Agency officers acting on intelligence, accompanied by licencing officers from Strathclyde police, target the restaurant to question staff and ensure they had the right to work in the UK.
