Staff and customers at a charity shop in Bellshill are celebrating after hitting the £2million landmark in funds raised to fight cancer.
The Cancer Research UK shop in Main Street has reached the milestone in 23 years, having opened its doors for the first time in May 1990.
And to celebrate they are doing what they do best - organising a series of special events to generate even more money for research into the killer disease.
Events include a Stand Up To Cancer ceilidh at the Coach House in Bellshill on Saturday, October 5, and a coffee morning at the shop on Stand Up To cancer Day on Friday, October 18.
Shop manager Catrina Boxall said: “I am absolutely thrilled that £2 million has been raised by this shop for life saving research.
“The community in and around Bellshill is so generous and I want to say a huge thank you to all of our customers and to our dedicated volunteers.”
