The skirl of the pipes will be the first clue that a popular annual gala is underway in Bellshill this weekend, with plenty of family fun guaranteed - whatever the weather may bring.
Bellshill youngster Holly Taylor will be crowned queen at the Sacred Heart Parish gala day this Saturday.
The Sacred Heart Primary pupil (pictured, far left) will be accompanied by (l-r) queen’s prince Aidan Stevenson, queen’s attendant Kayleigh Ann McKay and prince consort Cain Crielly.
The event is held in the grounds of Sacred Heart Church, Crossgates, from 1 to 4pm, beginning with a piper-led carnival parade to collect Queen Holly at her home.
The crowning will be carried out by former queen Morgan Mitchell, beginning a great afternoon of entertainment.
