The Brannock Gala Day committee need more volunteers to support preparations for the annual event or warn it may not be able to take place in future years.
The gala day, which this year takes place in the grounds of Brannock High on Saturday, June 18, is run by a small group of local residents who are seeking more people to come on board to ensure the day is a success for the communities of Newarthill, Carfin, New Stevenston and Holytown.
Committee member Bill Lockhart said: “We really need more local residents to get involved to ensure the day is as successful as previous years.
“Even if people can only spare a couple of hours leading up to the day or on the day itself, they would be really helping out their community.
“There is a real risk that if we can’t get more people involved then we might not be able to continue holding this annual event in the future.”
