North Lanarkshire provost Jim Robertson joins in the fun at Parksprings Care Home Christmas Market

Parksprings Care Home in Motherwell kicked off its activities over the festive period with a spectacular Christmas market.

Provost Jim Robertson gave the countdown to the Christmas lights and a solo piper from Boys’ Brigade got the market underway where Central Scotland list MSP Clare Adamson could be found working the tombola.

Shona Duchamp and the staff from John Lewis handled the facepainting queue, while the the Strathaven Singers and players from Hamilton Accies lent their support, as did Santa Claus, who was very busy in his grotto.

The Christmas auction saw many items under the hammer including a signed Motherwell FC ball which was bought by home manager Gillian Greenshields, while a mystery prize was won by Daniel Grant (4), grandson of Marie Grant in Glencairn Unit.

All at Parksprings would like to thank everyone who participated and helped raise £2,000 for the resident’s special activity funds.
