He appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on a charge which alleged he “held aloft a lit flare which was emitting smoke and heat whilst surrounded by a crowd of football supporters, placing yourself and others at risk of harm”.

Ilari denied the charge and will stand trial in December.

Sheriff Vincent Smith granted bail, but banned Ilari from attending any regulated matches in Scotland ahead of his trial.
