An investigation has been launched following an apparent attempted theft at an ATM in Tannochside.
Police are appealing for possible witnesses following an incident at the Royal Bank of Scotland machine on Thorniewood Road.
It is believed an implement was inserted into the machine in an attempt to steal cash around 12.40am on Wednesday, December 10.
Although the ATM was damaged, the culprit fled empty-handed.
The investigation was launched after staff noticed the machine was out of order the next day and called police.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call Police Scotland on 101.
