A BELLSHILL daredevil jumped 10,000ft from a plane in aid of Alzheimer Scotland and raised £460 for the charity.
Jonathon Watson (22), general assistant at Tesco Bellshill headed to Errol Airfield in Perth to complete the tandem jump for the superstore’s charity of the year.
The target is to raise £5 million to fund essential research and bring dementia information, advice and support to communities all over the UK.
Jonathon said: “I had an absolutely amazing time and really enjoyed the skydive, so much so that I will be the first in the queue to do it all again. What’s more is I was delighted with the amount I raised for Alzheimer Scotland and I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me.”
Around 82,000 people in Scotland have dementia and 3,811 of those affected live in the North Lanarkshire area.
Alzheimer Scotland chief executive Henry Simmons said: “We would like to congratulate Jonathon on such a fantastic achievement.”
