A Motherwell-based firm is among those taking part in a series of green open day events happening across Scotland.

Resource Efficient House & BRE Innovation Park at Ravenscraig is participating in the Green Network open days aimed at giving homeowners and businesses the opportunity to head along to local properties to find out about renewables first hand.

Organised in conjunction with the Energy Saving Trust, the events, on October 3 and 4, will offer a free behind the scenes look at properties in Strathclyde and central Scotland.

Visitors see first-hand how installing renewables systems and energy efficiency improvements can help save money on fuel bills.

Mike Thornton, director of the Energy Saving Trust Scotland, said: “The Green Network open days provide a unique opportunity for people in Strathclyde and central Scotland to see various types of energy-saving and energy-generating technologies working in real homes and businesses.”
