Motherwell’s Firpark Secondary School has received £100 from Police Scotland Credit Union which will go towards the school’s Christmas pantomime and gifts.

The credit union operates as a not for profit financial co-operative which offers financial support and assistance to its members. Donations are raised from various charity and fundraising events.

The Firpark cheque followed donations from Dress Down Friday. The credit union has opened a Just Giving website page for children’s hospitals in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and Firpark Secondary School, so donations can be made online to these worthwhile causes.

The credit union’s Lynne Cumming and Tom Rowatt presented the cheque to S5 pupils and staff during a visit to the school.
