Free drama workshops are on offer to schools and groups in Lanarkshire during September with the Scottish Youth Theatre.

The Youth Theatre’s touring Roadshow will be in Lanarkshire for three weeks from September 15. The idea is to give young people in Scotland the opportunity to experience tailor-made drama workshops exploring a variety of themes.

These include devising theatre and specially designed workshops commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War I, delivered by a team of theatre arts professionals with experience of working with young people.

Lanarkshire schools on the tour list include Bellshill Academy, Braidhurst High, Brannock High, Cardinal Newman, Clyde Valley, Dalziel, Our Lady’s, St Aidan’s in Wishaw, Taylor High and Uddingston Grammar.

Roadshow has been made possible with funding from The Robertson Trust and The Gordon Fraser Charitable Trust.

Interested groups are invited to book a session online.
