Two in court on Bellshill drugs and stabbing charges

A woman has admitted stabbing a man in her Bellshill home.

Nicolle Dunsmore (22) appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court where she pleaded guilty to a charge of striking Allan Anderson on the body with a knife in Baird Place on January 5 last year.

The Crown deleted an allegation that the attack resulted in ‘severe’ injury to the victim.

Also in the dock was Garry Anderson (20) who admitted producing cannabis at the Baird Place address. Dunsmore’s not guilty plea to that charge was accepted.

Sheriff John Miller called for background reports and deferred sentence on Dunsmore and Garry Anderson until February 24. Both had bail continued.
