A 14-year-old boy spent two days in hospital last week after being stabbed by a fellow teen.
The victim was allegedly attacked by a 16-year-old in Barons Road, Muirhouse, and stabbed to the left side of his abdomen around 4pm last Monday (November 2).
He was taken to hospital and put under observation when the wound became infected and he was struck with a fever.
It looked like he may require surgery, but he responded well to antibiotics and was allowed home.
A 16-year-old appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday (November 6) charged with serious assault.
Due to new Scottish Government legislation we can no longer identify people under the age of 18 who appear in court.
