Police continue to hunt for Bothwell hit-and-run driver - and reveal make of car they're looking for

Police have issued a fresh appeal for a hit-and-run driver to come forward – after a child was seriously injured in Bothwell on Easter Monday.

And officers think they might have found out what make of car was involved in the accident in Main Street near the Co-op around 2.30pm.

The 13-year-old boy was struck by what is now believed to have been a grey coloured five door Vauxhall Corsa around which has apparently sustained damage to its front passenger headlight.

The young victim was taken to Wishaw General Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, where he remains in a stable condition.

Police have also issued a direct appeal for the driver to come forward.
