Detective Constable Alan Hamilton, Cambuslang CID, said: “Although nobody was hurt during this incident, somebody’s business has been burnt to the ground in an incident that we believe to have been targeted. It is vital that we find those responsible.

“It happened in the early hours of the morning, we would ask you to think back – were you woken by any noises, did you see anything suspicious in the area? You may have information that can help us.

“We have been making local enquiries and checking CCTV in the surrounding area and would also appeal to anyone who has their own private CCTV to come forward.

“We are also keen to speak to the owners, or occupants of a small silver hatchback car, with a loud exhaust. It was seen in the area prior to and shortly after the incident and those within the car may know or have seen something.
