Motherwell crime spree man stopped -and so is thug (55) with weapons in town centre

Police in Motherwell have arrested a 38-year-old man, wanted in connection with a number of alleged offences in the area last month.

They have confirmed that a 38-year-old man was traced on Saturday March 27 in relation to a number of alleged incidents.The man was arrested for alleged theft, fraud, attempting to pervert the course of justice, driving whilst being disqualified and having no valid insurance policy.

He also stands accused of shouting and swearing towards officers and vandalism.

It has also emerged that a 55-year-old man was arrested around 9pm in Brandon Parade on Friday March 26, for being in possession of four offensive weapons and for culpable and reckless behaviour.
