Police have traced a driver they were looking for after a man was allegedly knocked down in Motherwell yesterday (Tuesday) morning.

A 58-year-old man was left with shoulder and leg injuries after reportedly being struck by a vehicle on Merry Street around 8.20am.

He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The driver has now been traced and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
