Animal charity wants to solve mystery of sad discovery in burn

An animal charity is appealing for the help of the public after a female French bulldog pup was found dead in a burn near Wishaw.

The charity was contacted after a member of the public spotted the animal floating in the water near Murdouston Road on Tuesday, March 24,

It is estimated that the pup was between five and eight weeks old.

Scottish SPCA inspector Heather Lawson said:“We don’t think she had been in the water long. We are unable to determine how the puppy died and whether she was dead beforehand.”
