An Aberdeen fan has been fined £900 for shouting abuse before Wednesday’s League Cup tie against Motherwell at Fir Park.

Dean Clark (24), of Buckie, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted conduct likely to incite public disorder in Dalzell Drive.

But Sheriff Vincent Smith rejected a request from the prosecution to impose a football banning order on Clark.

Aberdeen won 2-0 despite being down to 10 men for much of the game.
