Uddingston Old Parish Church will be busy hosting a programme of events in the run-up to Christmas, kicking off this weekend.
1st Uddingston Boys’Brigade have their Christmas coffee morning on Saturday from 10am to noon, with tickets priced £2.50 available from members or payment at the door.

Bothwell and Uddingson Rotary Club has its ever popular Cancer Care Concert, featuring Bothwell Philharmonic Choir, in the church on Sunday at 2.30pm.
Doors open at 2pm and admission is £5.
The church’s congregational board meets on Monday, December 9, at 7.30pm with the church window display and coffee morning taking place on Saturday, December 14. Tickets are £3 and are available from social committee members.
The Old Parish Church is appealing for DIY tools, gardening equipment and seeds, art and crafts items, and wool to support Glasgow Lodgehouse Mission.
Donations should be taken to the church on Sunday or collection can be made by calling Ailsa Wilkie, 828913.
New organist Peter McLean lit the first Advent candle at the Old Parish Church last Sunday.
Meanwhile, St Andrew’s Episcopal Church is preparing for a Christmas celebration of nine lessons and carols. This takes place in the Bothwell Road church on Sunday, December 15, at 6.30pm and all are welcome.
