A PURPOSE-built Carfin nursery is to close its doors next week after just over two years in business.

The closure of Kidicare Nursery, in Bell Quadrant, leaves parents fighting to find alternative places for their children and staff without jobs.

The private nursery boasts state-of-the-art play facilities and an extensive 21st century security system. It claims to offer a high quality education in accordance with the Scottish Government Curriculum for Excellence.

But now manager Leigh Murray says it will close for good due to the current economic climate. Parents, who pay fees in advance as well as a security key fee and deposit, are asked to contact the nursery regarding money owed.

The owners have been working with North Lanarkshire Council in the hope of becoming one of the local authority’s partnership nurseries.
