Can you offer Little Gem Puppy Love?

PUPPY EYES . . . Little Gem.
PUPPY EYES . . . Little Gem.

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week it is the turn of puppy Staffie Little Gem, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Centre manager Karen Russell said: “Little Gem is a lovely little girl aged just seven-months-old.

“She arrived here as a stray with a skin condition that had been left untreated, causing her to lose her hair. Thankfully, she received treatment for this in our care and is now looking super smart with her new glossy coat.

“Little Gem certainly lives up to her name. She has a sweet and inquisitive nature and, like most Staffies, loves attention!

“She will require lead training as she does think that the start of each walk is a tug of war, because she is so excited. Once she has settled though, she does walk well.

“Little Gem is looking for a new home where she will receive the love, time and attention that any puppy deserves.”

If you can offer Little Gem a loving home, please call the SSPCA animal helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Monday to Sunday, 10am until 4pm.
