Every week the Times and Speaker team up with the Scottish SPCA - Scotland’s animal welfare charity - in a bid to rehome an unwanted pet.

And this week it’s the turn of staffie Roma who is currently being cared for by members of staff at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Bothwell Road, Hamilton.

Centre manager Peter Fleming said: “Roma is a four-year-old staffie who was extremely stressed on arrival but has now settled.

“She loves her toys and treats but as she can be a bit boisterous when playing we feel she would be best suited to an adult only home.

“Roma will make a fantastic family addition and companion.

“She will benefit from a confident owner with the time and patience she needs to flourish into a polite young lady.”

If you feel that you can help Roma by offering her the new home she needs, please call the Scottish SPCA on 03000 999 999.
