Callum produced a 60-second video based on his idea, which was sent to the competition’s organisers, and has been busy over the last few weeks working to update his video and include voice overs.

He said: “I honestly didn’t think I would be picked, but I’m glad to be wrong and can’t wait to get started on the next stage!”

Dalziel High head teacher Robert Birch added; “We are very proud of Callum, he is an outstanding young person with lots of good ideas.

“Callum works very hard at school and is a very talented boy. I am sure that he will have lots of success in the future.”

The winner will be decided through a combination of votes from the public and the judges. To vote for Callum give his video a thumbs up here
