Norbert Dentressangle has marked 25 years at its site in Bellshill with the renewal of its contract with Morrisons for a further five years.
Through its acquisition of Christian Salvesen, Norbert Dentressangle has operated the Bellshill Distribution Centre in Righead Industrial Estate since it opened in 1989, initially for Safeway and later Morrisons.
Employing more than 1,000 people, 35 of whom have worked at the site since it opened, Norbert Dentressangle is responsible for managing Morrisons’ composite and fresh produce distribution centres, and the on-site resource recovery unit.
Morrisons’s Ross Eggleton said: “We are pleased to have agreed a contract extension with Norbert Dentressangle for our Bellshill site following positive negotiations.
“I’d also like to recognise the contribution colleagues and the site have made as they celebrate 25 years, a fantastic milestone, especially for those who have been with us since day one.”
