The Springboard Charity held a celebration lunch for the North Lanarkshire Let’s Cook! programme at the Tennents Training Academy in Glasgow.
Thanks to funding from North Lanarkshire Council, eight young people from Firpark, Willowbank, Glencryan and Buchanan schools, spend ten weeks learning to cook with chef Michael Kilkie.
They undertook industry recognised qualifications, and visited hospitality businesses across the region to learn different styles of cooking and service including the Moorings, Dakota and Alona hotels.
At the lunch the group received portfolios containing a range of certificates from Joe McAvoy of the council’s Quality Improvement Service.
