A boy has been arrested after a series of hoax bomb threats made to schools including Taylor High in New Stevenston.
Police said the development came yesterday and relates to incidents involving schools in Glasgow, Clydebank, Campbeltown and Lanarkshire over the last week, Given the boy’s age, a report will be submitted the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administrator.
Emergency services rushed to Taylor High on Tuesday following a call claiming there was an explosive device within the building.
A similar call was made to Calderhead High School in Shotts on the same day.
Following guidance from police, Taylor was not evacuated and was back operating as usual within a few hours.
