Bonfire night display

North and South Lanarkshire Councils join forces to host a free fireworks display in Strathclyde Park on Saturday.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.45pm and the fireworks begin at 7.15pm, with the spectacular light show reflecting over Strathclyde Loch for 30 minutes.

M&D’s funfair will be open from 4.30-8.30pm and Clyde 1 will provide live music and entertainment from 6pm.

Council officers, supported by police and fire fighters, will respond to any reports of unofficial bonfires being built and dispose of the material.

Waiting restrictions are on Hamilton Road, Airbles Road, Tinkers Lane, Greenacres, Braedale Avenue, Haughview Road and Strathclyde Road.
