The church is working in partnership with Mossend, Holy Family, St Gerard’s, Noble Primary Sacred Heart and Lawmuir Primaries, as well as Cardinal Newman High School and Bellshill Academy.

Church secretary Elaine Gatenby said: “The idea of the School Uniform Bank was initiated by an e-mail from the PTA at Mossend Primary, and has grown in to a project that involves almost all of the schools in the community.

“The aim of the School Uniform Bank is quite simply to collect and distribute all your uniforms that are still in good condition.

“So if you have any pre-loved or outgrown school or nursery uniforms, please consider donating them to the School Uniform Bank, where they will given out free of charge to anyone in the community who needs them.”

Uniforms can be handed into Bellshill Community Foodbank within the church any Tuesday or Thursday from 1pm-3pm up to the last week in July.

The School Uniform Bank will run in the church hall, on Monday, August 1, to Friday, August 5, from 10am-3.30pm and Saturday, August 6, from 10am-2pm.

If you would like to volunteer to help sort and distribute the uniforms call contact Elaine on 07729172008 or Margaret on 01698 748804.
