Anger at state of new-look park

This picture was sent in by a reader shocked by the state of the area in Hope Street.

He said: “The people of Mossend should hang their heads in shame - rubbish, vandalism and broken glass on the running track.

“The signs clearly state no dogs but there is poo everywhere on the grass surrounding the running track.

“The turf has burn marks and someone has taken a knife to the white line between the goal posts. Part of the barrier has been stolen!!

“Everyone should do their bit by removing any rubbish if using the park. Looking after the community and its assets is everyone’s responsibility.”
