MOTHERWELL and Wishaw Citizens’ Advice Bureau (CAB) has been selected to present its ground-breaking ‘Youth ReachOut’ Project to a national audience.
The two-day annual conference of Citizens’ Advice Scotland (CAS) begins in Glasgow tomorrow (Thursday) attended by over 400 staff and volunteers from Scotland’s 60 CABs.
The ReachOut project ran from 2002 to October 2011, and involved a specialist CAB team going out into the community to teach young people how to manage their money, and specifically how to avoid debt.
CAS acting chief executive Susan McPhee said: “We’ve invited Motherwell and Wishaw CAB to talk about their project because it’s a shining example of the sort of successful campaign that we’d like other CABs to follow.”
