THE annual Big Garden Bird Watch organised by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds will take place at the Baron’s Haugh nature reserve in Motherwell on Saturday.
The event gives a chance for all ages to get to know the birds on their doorstep and will take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Places for the walk are limited and should be booked in advance. The event leaves from the Baron’s Haugh car park in Manse Road and prices are £2 for adults, £1 for children and free for RSPB members.
Anyone who has any binoculars should take them along, but there will be some to share as well. It’s always advisable to come prepared for the unpredictable Scottish climate, and to wear stout shoes.
Children under 16 are welcome, but should be accompanied by an adult. For more information and bookings, contact Stephen Owen on 07872 814 911 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
