NEXT week marks the opening of Our Lady’s Light Opera’s production of A Christmas Carol in Motherwell Theatre.
The sparkling and energetic musical adaptation of one of Charles Dickens’ most famous novels is being presented by the Lanarkshire club as a fitting climax to its Golden Jubilee year.
The curtain goes up on Monday and the show runs until next Saturday (November 10) with performances at 7.30pm each evening, plus a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £12.50-£15, with concessions available.
The organisation’s Golden Gala Dinner takes place in Dalziel Park on Friday, November 23, at 7 for 7.30pm.
The evening costs £25 which includes a welcome drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner.
This will be followed by a short pictorial slide show from the early days to 2012 with commentary, and then a cabaret performed by members past and present.
Tickets for the show and the dinner are available from Christine Kelly on 01698 733502 or visit Our Lady’s Opera website
