The first part of Swedish author’s Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy as Män Som Hatar Kvinnor gets an English language adaptation as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is out now at The Vue in Hamilton.

David Fincher’s film is set in Stockholm during a winter that takes no prisoners as Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) is called upon to solve a very curious crime - the disappearance of a woman 40 years previously.

But this is no ordinary mystery, as Mikael is introduced to a series of baffling events and increasingly puzzling clues, as well as a very sinister and powerful family.

As the puzzles deepen, Mikael seeks the help of a genius hacker, the offbeat Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara).
